Headturners & Co Hair & Beauty Salon

Born in Surrey UK. Michael initially trained with the internationally acclaimed school of Hairdressing, Steiners of London
. Upon completion of his certificate, having been awarded their Gold medal for colour cut and
styling, he worked on the cruise liner QEII
on its Southampton - New York run.
After some years in London working with such salons as Toni & Guy & Harper's, he moved to the South of France and ran a salon there for 6 years, after completing his French Hairdressing Certificate.
Whilst in France he won the coveted L`Oreal Silver Award in 1991 for colour
(the first non-Frenchman to do this)
He moved to Australia in 1993 and opened his first salon at Murdoch University in 1995 and in 2007 moved to the Mount Lawley salon. In June 2002 he won a Silver Cup and runner up medals at the W.A. State Hairdressing Awards.

Jessica is our newest member of staff & is in the second year of her 4-year apprenticeship.  In her short time as a hairdresser, she has achieved an enormous amount including her first photo shoot using her own unique creations.  She is building in confidence daily and recently even addressed a local high school in Career Options – and talked passionately about her life as a hairdresser and how she came to choose it as a career.  She attends her TAFE one day a week learning the basics but the techniques she is learning in the salon will give her the grounding to become a force to be reckoned with the industry. At Head Turners & Co she is experiencing many services her peer group can only dream of – such as hair extensions, chemical straitening and the opportunity to work with hair from many parts of the world due to the diversity of the Headturners & Co client base.
